Travis Wimberly - String Bass - The main man. Travis started and organized Swing Shift. He started playing with the group, The Starlighters back in the 1950's. It's been his dream to have his own band to play this kind of music.

Emerson has Free-Lanced with various Big Bands - Guy Lombardo, Tommy Dorsey, Buddy Morrow, Ted Weems and others.
He is currently with Sophisticated Swingers - Decatur - 13 years, Buddy Chambers Combo, 9 years, and also rehearsing/performing with Dan Havely's Jazzamatics - Athens. Emerson is Swingshift's newest member.
Terry L. "Buckwheat" Turner - Drums - Buckwheat has had many years backing up some of the Southeast's most well-known musicians. He is active in playing in his church and at other musical events. He provides the driving beat for the band.
